El sonido desgarrador de la opresión
Hoy no escribe Kimia, lo hacemos en su nombre desde la redacción de Escudo Digital. Kimia está bien, dolorida por un fuerte impacto que ha recibido en la espalda -no sabe aún qué la ha golpeado-, pero se encuentra razonablemente estable. La han llevado a una casa cercana cuya propietaria es simpatizante del movimiento que está haciendo resquebrajarse al régimen islámico. Desde Teherán nos transmite que la situación empeora por minutos: "Es muy, muy mala. Es terrorífica. Reza por nosotros. Reza", nos pide cuando se cumplen 40 días de la muerte de Mahsa Amini, y nos dice que la violencia con la que se están empleando la policía, y, sobre todo, los guardianes de la revolución, es "salvaje".
Kimia no se atreve a sacar el teléfono móvil y grabar en las manifestaciones, porque sabe, porque ha visto, que las "fuerzas del orden" disparan a matar; ella misma ha sido testigo de la caída de otros manifestantes que solo salieron a las calles para decir "basta" y pedir "libertad" y se han dejado la vida por tratar de mostrar al mundo lo que están viviendo.
Esta activista nos envía algún audio que recoge el ambiente, el sonido de estas manifestaciones que tienen que servir para que, desde Occidente, aumentemos las sanciones y las condenas a un régimen islámico que se ha perpetuado en el poder a costa de someter al pueblo, que se niega a seguir siendo ni un día más "su" pueblo. "Tenemos que cambiar esto, queremos libertad. Yo, como mujer, la mayor parte de las mujeres, de los hombres, queremos libertad. Estamos muy cansados, y no es que me dé miedo una posible guerra civil, es que esto es ya una guerra civil", afirmaba Kimia en la entrevista recientememente publicada en esta página y cuya lectura recomendamos para entender mejor las ideas y sensaciones que se cruzan por la cabeza de una ciudadana iraní que está dispuesta a entregar su propia vida a cambio de disfrutar de unos mínimos derechos.
De momento no podemos hablar con ella, y nos llegan sus mensajes con suma dificultad. Como este audio, que habla por sí solo y muestra la atmósfera tan hostil, tan irrespirable, que ahora se respira en las principales ciudades de Irán. En él le grita en persa a un compañero que se llama Reza: "¡Reza, baja la cámara! ¡Baja la cámara! ¡Vete al otro lado!". Escuchen y juzguen, aunque no entiendan, el clima de terror impuesto por el Régimen Islámico de Irán:
En un audio posterior, unos minutos después, añade: "¡Han dado a Reza! ¡Socorre a Reza! ¡Tira de él!".
Estos gritos, tanta opresión y muerte, no pueden tener como respuesta el silencio de Occidente.
40 días de horror, un largo camino hacia la esperanza
Se cumplen 40 días desde el asesinato de Mahsa Amini, tiempo que según la tradición chií marca el final del luto por una persona por parte de su familia. Miles de personas acudieron ayer a honrar a Amini al cementerio de o de Aichi, en la ciudad de Saqez, en el Kurdistán, de donde era originaria la joven de 22 años, para gritar una vez más "mujer, vida, libertad”. Allí les estaban esperando las fuerzas del orden, que volvieron a hacer uso de una fuerza desproporcionada.

Como Mahsa, son ya cientos de mujeres, y de hombres, quienes se están dejando la vida por defender su libertad. Es el caso de Shirin Alizadeh, una madre de 35 años a la que han asesinado en frente de su hijo por el delito de grabar lo que está sucediendo en las calles de Irán.

- About the power of the Internet
The internet can be such a great tool and resource.
A great way for people to voice opinions and share from around the world.
The internet can also be the complete opposite and used as a weapon to spread misinformation, silence people and keep people from knowing the truth.
I have been doing my best to educate myself as much as possible about what is going on in Iran. I have seen so many videos taken down and censored. Accounts have been shadow-banned or shut down for people speaking the truth and the internet was taken away in Iran to limit the knowledge of the atrocities they are witnessing there should they survive it.
Parents should not have to be burying their children for standing up for freedom of choice.

In a historic move, Iranian athlete Elnaz Rekabi who represented Iran at the Asian Climbing Competitions finals in Seoul, competed without hijab, disobeying the Islamic Republic's restrictions for female athletes.
Moved by Rekabi’s act of defiance, activists and social media users are praising her move as a “very powerful statement” that may bring about serious repercussions for her. Many people on social media organized a huge gathering to welcome her.
Iranian authorities have confiscated Rekabi's passport in Seoul, and no one heard from her after the competition. Elnaz Rekabi had competed without hijab in the Asian Climbing Competitions in defiance of the Islamic Republic's laws.
Amid concerns that Elnaz Rekabi would be arrested upon arrival in Tehran, people organized a huge gathering to welcome her early on Wednesday morning when she is scheduled to arrive back in the country.
Elnaz Rekabi just arrived in Tehran amid concerns that she might be arrested for competing without hijab in Seoul. Many Iranians had gathered at the airport to welcome her, and chanted “Elnaz the Champion”. Upon arrival, she told state media her move was “unintentional”.
People on social media say the regime tried “to break this brave woman,” force Rekabi “to repudiate her own convictions, and discredit” her among hundreds of thousands of young girls who admire her but as always, “they failed.”
An independent human rights group in South Korea organized a gathering outside the Islamic Republic’s embassy in Seoul to express protest at embassy’s alleged role in forcibly sending Elbaz Rekabi back to Iran. The embassy staff tried to disperse them but they showed resistance.
